Kana Hina is a limited edition Hina doll decoration produced to commemorate the enthronement ceremony of Emperor Reiwa.
These are not the typical sitting dolls, but standing dolls called standing dolls.

Nowadays, sitting dolls are common, but in the "Nagashibina" ceremony to ward off evil spirits, which is said to be the origin of Hinamatsuri, standing dolls called "hitokata" were used.
Over time, the proportion of sitting dolls has increased, but they still remain very popular.

The princess's costume is modeled after the Empress's twelve-layered kimono.
The karaginu robes, featuring the auspicious crane crest known as the Matsukuimaru pattern, give an elegant impression.
The outer garment is dotted with a Hanamasu flower pattern. The combination of light green and light purple is beautiful, making it look like a decorative heirloom.

The lord's attire is a color called korozen no gohou, and since the Heian period, this color has always been worn at important ceremonies attended by the emperor.
At first glance it appears to be plain, but patterns of paulownia, bamboo, phoenixes, and kirins are woven into it.
It is said that the phoenix descends from the heavens to praise a ruler who ruled a peaceful world, and it has been woven into the emperor's robes as a sign of a good ruler.

These Hina dolls were created with the hope that people will be able to live in peace and tranquility in the new era.
