Kana Hina Dolls | Limited Edition | Hina Dolls Commemorating the Enthronement of the Emperor | Hina Dolls [Kana Hina Dolls]
Kana Hina dolls are limited edition Hina dolls created to commemorate the enthronement ceremony of the Emperor.
These are not the typical sitting Hina dolls, but standing Hina dolls called Tachibana.
Nowadays, sitting Hina dolls are common, but in the "Nagashibina" ritual to ward off evil spirits, which is said to be the origin of Hinamatsuri, standing dolls called "hitokata" were used.
As time has passed, the proportion of sitting dolls has increased, but they still remain very popular.
The princess's costume is modeled after the Empress's twelve-layered kimono.
The karaginu (traditional Chinese garment) features auspicious crane crests known as Matsukuimaru pattern, giving it a noble impression.
The outer garment is dotted with Hanamasu flower patterns. The beautiful combination of light green and pale purple colors makes it look like a decorative heirloom.
The lord's attire is a color called korozen no gohou, and since the Heian period, this color has always been worn when the emperor attends important ceremonies.
At first glance it appears plain, but it is woven with motifs of paulownia, bamboo, phoenixes, and kirins.
It is said that the phoenix descends from the heavens to praise a ruler who has ruled a peaceful world, and it has been woven into the emperor's robes as a sign of a good ruler.
These Hina dolls were created with the hope that people will be able to live in peace and tranquility in the new era.
