The beauty of a folding screen: Meiko-chan from Yaizu City | First Doll's Festival
The beauty of a folding screen: Meiko-chan from Yaizu City: Hina dolls and the first Hinamatsuri festival
Thank you for the wonderful Hina dolls.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of child-rearing, the first Hina doll to be chosen was a choice that both grandparents unanimously decided on, as they were so impressed by the beauty of the folding screen.
She also loved the old Japanese-style room in my husband's parents' house, and it became a daily routine for her and her daughter to pray there.
On the day of the first festival, we had a small celebration in front of the grandparents from both sides and the Hina dolls.
The weather was nice and green leaves were just beginning to sprout, so I am truly grateful that we were able to spend such a happy time together.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!
I'm Kurebayashi, a staff member at Hinasei.
Thank you for the lovely, heartwarming photos and letter.
You can almost hear Meiko-chan's cute voice squealing as she pushes the stroller around in the photo!
We are glad that it was a fun first festival for all the staff.
By next year's Hinamatsuri, she will be a good talker and will decorate the dolls together with me. I'm sure we will have many more memories to make.
Please cherish the bonds between your family members through Hinamatsuri.
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
