We were able to celebrate a wonderful first Doll's Festival surrounded by the Hina dolls with their kind faces.

The dolls certainly have kind faces, but the faces of their parents and grandparents look so much kinder that they overshadow them.

It was a happy Hinamatsuri being held by everyone!

I look forward to them growing up and decorating and playing with the Hina dolls together, and one day asking questions like, "Who gave you this doll? Why did you choose this one?"

I believe that it is only then that the giver's feelings and thoughts about the Hina dolls begin to be conveyed.
