Even the postman was surprised: Elena-chan, who lives in Switzerland: Hina dolls and the first Hinamatsuri

My daughter was born in December, and I was busy raising two children and spending sleepless days, when I received a message from my family in Japan saying they had sent me a baby gift.

A few days later, a box so big that even the postman was surprised arrived.

When I opened it, I found a beautifully wrapped doll inside, which reminded me that my daughter's first festival is coming up soon.

I can't thank Hinasei enough for making such a beautiful doll, and to my family who sent it to me.

Hinasei's Hina dolls are beautifully made down to the smallest detail, and I felt like I could relax and unwind from the fatigue of child-rearing by displaying them in the entranceway of our home every day and admiring the sight.

My Swiss in-laws were also impressed by the Hina dolls, which they were seeing for the first time, and I was happy that this was an opportunity for them to share traditional Japanese culture.

I can't wait to decorate it every year from now on.
