"Thank you" to the Hina dolls: Yuba-chan and Aino-chan from Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture: First Doll Festival

Thank you so much for delivering this wonderful doll. Actually, my older sister married and moved to Fujieda, so I felt a connection with her. It was difficult to choose because there were so many beautiful dolls to choose from. Last year, I moved out of my parents' house and into Yokohama. I was displaying the Hina dolls that my grandfather gave me as a present. It has seven tiers and it would be difficult to display in our new home, so my mother gave it to me as a gift. The dolls that my grandfather gave me as a present I still treasure it. I hope my children will feel the same way when they grow up.

When the children put up the Hina dolls, they looked very happy and had smiles on their faces.
As Hinamatsuri ended and we were cleaning up, the children were saying "Thank you" to the Hina dolls.
I was very happy to hear those words.

The letter from Hinasei was so wonderful and touching.
It was a day where I once again thought about my family and my parents.
