Remote Hinamatsuri: Yuzuki-chan from Inzai City: Hina dolls and first festival
My daughter was born in June of last year, so her first Doll's Festival was in March of this year.
When we were wondering what to do with the Hina dolls, my parents (on my mother's side) went around to various stores on our behalf, searched the Internet, and finally gave us a Sayaka Hina doll that they found at Hinasei.
My daughter loved it from the first time she saw it, and every morning she wanted to go to the room where it was displayed, so I went there every morning to say hello to her until the day it was put away.
It has become a daily routine for us to sing the Hinamatsuri song for the children.
We had originally planned to celebrate on March 3rd with both sets of parents together, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to celebrate it remotely.
Although it was through a smartphone screen,
I also had my grandparents look at the dolls.
I was also able to see my daughter grow up.
At the end, everyone sang the "Girl's Festival" song,
My daughter also seemed to have a lot of fun.
I hope we can meet in person and celebrate next year.
When I was putting away the dolls, my daughter kept looking at them and reaching out for them next to me, so it was difficult to get the tidying up done.
"See you next year," I said, and put it away while I was taking a nap.
She seemed a little sad when her doll was gone.
I wonder what kind of reaction they will show if I decorate it again next year?
I'm looking forward to it.
In a few years, we will decorate and sing together, and from now on, every year,
I would like to create memories with the Hina dolls while also feeling my child's growth.
Thank you for a wonderful doll.

I'm Masuda, a Hinasei staff member.
We could see from your photos and letters that it was a wonderful first Doll Festival, and it filled us with happiness!
thank you.
Looking at the photos full of smiles, I can see that Yuzuki-chan,
I'm glad that you liked our Hina dolls.
We are truly honored that you have made it a daily routine to enjoy the Hina dolls in the run up to the festival.
For Yuzuki, it was all the things she had never seen before.
I think it must have felt fresh to people.
I'm already looking forward to next year's Doll Festival!
Please enjoy decorating it every year.

It is said that the daily routine of singing Hinamatsuri songs is very stimulating to children's brains and leads to good learning.
The songs will help create memories of the first Hinamatsuri festival, and the many conversations you have on a daily basis will encourage your child to learn words and try to communicate.
These words spoken to them by parents from a young age gradually cause the memory to merge in the brain, and miraculously, their language skills improve.
I personally felt that they were doing a very good thing.
Thank you very much for this opportunity.
