A wonderful celebration in Japan: Mika from New Zealand | Hinamatsuri, the first annual celebration of Japanese girls
A wonderful celebration in Japan: Mika from New Zealand: Hina dolls and the first Hinamatsuri festival
Thanks to you, our first grandchild, Mika, is growing up healthily in New Zealand.
Around Hinamatsuri (Girl's Day) on March 3rd, my daughter was returning to work and made her debut at day care (nursery school) for the first time. However, perhaps she worked too hard, as she developed a fever on Hinamatsuri day and the festival had to be postponed.
Mika's first birthday is on April 2nd, so we decided to hold a birthday party and celebrate Hinamatsuri one month late. We were able to celebrate together as a family, making it a very fun and important day.
Although Mika will be growing up in New Zealand, we hope that she will continue to experience wonderful Japanese celebrations such as Hina Matsuri and Shichi-Go-San.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!
My name is Tsujii, and I am a staff member at Hinasei Dolls in Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
Mika is growing up healthy and strong in New Zealand.
Her eyes are so round and she is so cute.
It's unfortunate that Hinamatsuri had to be postponed, but it's good that we were able to celebrate it safely a month later!
The "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" decorations attached to the Hina dolls conveyed the joyful atmosphere of the celebration.
We are very happy that Mika will be able to experience Japanese culture through our Hina dolls.
Thank you for this opportunity.
