Thanks to my husband's parents: Mikiko from Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture: Hina dolls and the first Hinamatsuri festival
Thank you so much for this wonderful Hina doll.
This year, my husband's parents gave it to us as a gift to celebrate our daughter's first Doll's Festival.
One day, my husband's mother gave us five Hina dolls to choose from and asked us, "Which one do you think is best?" We then asked our parents to decide.
Then on February 1st, a large cardboard box arrived, and since it had a specific delivery date, I immediately realized it was a Hina doll!
I was excited too, wondering, "I wonder what kind of Hina doll she chose?"
Then I asked my eldest son (2 years old) "It looks like the Hina dolls have come to our house! Do you want to take a look?" and he gave a cheer and said, "Yay! I can see, I can see!", showing his great interest.
Up until now, my eldest son has been skipping the Hinamatsuri events by himself.
When I opened it and saw the Hina dolls, I was surprised!
This is because it included a Hina doll from Hinasei-sama, which had not been on the list of candidates.
After consulting with us, they had also looked online and visited stores to make their selections, and it really touched my heart to learn about their thoughts.
After the children went to sleep, my husband, who was holding the Hina doll for the first time, excitedly asked, "Where is this? What is this?"
The two of them laughed and had fun decorating, and at the end they lit the lanterns and said, "We've been given such wonderful Hina dolls. We'll be sure to cherish them for decades to come!"
When I expressed my gratitude to my husband's parents along with a photo of the decorations, his mother replied, "I like the gentle face of the Hinasei dolls. I thought it would be nice to display them together when Bishin grows up."
I was so happy and moved to learn their thoughts.
When he woke up in the morning, my eldest son was delighted to see the Hina dolls, and asked to hold them, then watched them closely from nearby.
After that, she looked very happy, saying "Good morning" and "Good night" to the Hina dolls every day and showing them the shiny, completely eaten plates.
My daughter was watching this with concern.
On Hinamatsuri (Girls' Day) on March 3rd, we took many photos with the Hina dolls, some with just my daughter, some with just my two children, and all four of us as a family.
My parents also came to celebrate, so when I went to their house, the Hina dolls that they had bought when I was born were on display.
I have four sisters, and since my youngest sister is still in high school, my mother has been decorating the house with Hina dolls every year for the past 30 years without fail.
When I saw that doll,
I decorated it with my mother every year.
When my second sister was born and grew up, I decorated it with her.
My third sister touched the lantern and tore it,
My youngest sister once put a hishimochi in her mouth...
In an instant, I was flooded with many memories.
And best of all, my mother treated it with such care, saying, "Grandma bought it for me!"
Thirty years later, when I had a daughter, I felt like I finally understood a little bit about how my mother felt.
From now on, I will decorate the Hina dolls every year and pray for my daughter's health, and I look forward to the day when she grows up and we can decorate them together and talk about our times.
We have had so many fun days since the day the dolls arrived!
I am truly grateful for this opportunity.
thank you!

Thanks to my husband's parents: Mishin-chan from Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture: Hina dolls and the first Hinamatsuri festival
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!
My name is Saito, and I am a staff member at Hinasei Dolls in Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
Your husband's parents gave you a Hina doll as a gift.
It was a pleasant surprise to see that your parents had done a lot of research online and in stores.
I felt the deep love of my grandmother when I saw that when Bishin grew up, she even thought about displaying the Hina dolls.
Misato's expression as she smiles with a sparkling smile in front of the Hina dolls is truly beautiful.
The story of his son talking to the Hina dolls is also heartwarming.
I heard that her parents display Hina dolls every year, and it was clear that she has a deep attachment to Hina dolls.
Thirty years have passed and now she is a mother herself, and Misako is truly a treasure.
Just as your mother used to decorate the Hina dolls at your parents' house every year, I hope you will be able to decorate the Hina dolls together with Misako from now on.
Thank you so much for your heartwarming letter.
