Video call with family in the US: Hina dolls and Hinamatsuri: Rei-chan from Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture

Thank you Hinasei for the wonderful Hina dolls.

As his half birthday and first seasonal festival fell in the same month, we had a short but fun celebration over video calls with our family in the US .

In Japan, there are many events to pray for the health and happiness of children, such as the Shichi-ya, the first meal, the first festival, and the Shichi-go-san ceremony. All of these were new experiences for the father, and he was once again impressed by what a wonderful culture it is.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to go out as we would like or meet with family who live far away.
"I think my daughter is living in a very narrow world..."
I sometimes feel sorry for them, but we all enjoy the beautiful Hina dolls together.
"No matter what the world situation is, a parent's desire to protect their daughter's health and smile remains the same."
We were able to spend some quality time together as a family talking about these things, making our first festival as parents a very memorable one.
